SCSI host interface cards do drive translation for the computer and operating system. The computer's CMOS should be set to SCSI if it has this option, if not then set it to 'none' or 'not installed' for the specified hard disk drive. Follow the instructions that came with the SCSI host interface card for proper installation procedures.
