I am having some trouble getting my burner (Pioneer DVR-108) to burn my TDK's and Sony's at 1x. It will rip my Maxell's at 1x fine but not the other (min of 4x).


Any ideas on how to get around this.

I don't remember if DVR-108 supports 1X writing

So the firmware effects what brand media i can burn 1x on?
I think i am confused somewhere

usually the 108 will enable 1X with all media...

Well i don't know what to say to that??

I can assure you that

A. I don't get he 1x option on nero, Alchohol 120, or Roxio.
B. When i do select 1x on Dvd decrypter it says that the slowest setting the media can be burt at is four something.

and C. None of the aformentioned problems occur with the Maxell media?

Probably is the used media, i imagine Pioneer avoids enable 1X with today's media, since are optimized for burning at highest possible speeds of 16X
