Anyone have any problems with this drive? I recently got one.... and it is performing really bad.

1. When I burn it sits there just spinning up and down, like it is seeking. Sits there for a while till it actually starts burning... this might be a 52x writer, but my MP7125A feels so much faster than this drive.

2. When watching divx it does the same thing as above. It keeps spinning up and down and causes movies to pause and not play continuously.

I have the latest firmware (6S0D), Could the drive be faulty?

it could be the drive, it could also be the media. Are you using the same type of media all the time?? try something high quality like Taiyo yuden, or Mitsubishi Chemicals.
