Hi,
I have borrowed 75 dvd's (Bulkpaq -r 8x). And i have burned already 8, 7 of the 8 don't work fine.
I have burned approximate 24 at every dvd but after burning the dvd if i try to open some files explorer just freezes and i can't open it, i supose it is because the files are corrupt. I've tried to burn them at different speeds but there arn't any changes there are still files that are corrupt..
I'm using the NEC-3500ag with the newest firmware 2.18 and Nero 6.
Is this any problem of the firmware??
Could you please give me any sugestion or explanation of what is happening?

BTW; does it make any difference if I burn at 2x or 8x???

Might be a problem with the specific media, try to lower the recording speed down to 4X, should give optimal results

Well i tried to burn it at 2x, and there were less files corrupted but there were still some... :(
I have already tried with some programs to discover the problems and it is because of corrupt bolcks -_- not burned good...

then its a no-go situation, avoid using that media with 3500

so there is no way that i can burn the dvd's correctly, installing some old firmware or hacked firmwares?? or flashing back my bios...
Because i have borrowed 75 dvd's it would be a pity that i should trhow them all away :(

You can try again but if not even 2X/4X will produce good discs, then you are out of luck

well i've a question, so you mean that i should try again to burn them?? and installing the your hacked firmwares wouldn't be a possibility???

had the same problem with an old pioneer. Try to fill up to 3.8 GB of data on the disk. This workd for me

Yes you can re-try maybe was a problem with specific media
