For CD music production, the process is as simple as having a DA sequencer's mix engine bounce various tracks to a 16/44.1 stereo .wav file; & then using CD authoring software to write those .wav files to CD (which how I typically perform this task, myself.)
But...what happens to the .wav file (i.e., what winds up on the disc)?
Is it .wav files with added coding that we hear when we listen to a CD?
Are the .wav files converted to some other type of pcm format?
Can someone point me in the direction of good resources on this topic?
Thanks in advance,
