I have discovered a bug in Nero 6.6.0.5 when burning audio CD's

When I burn a data (ISO) CD above 24x, nero will not write the lead out, it just hangs. I tested this with 4 brands of CDR media, all fail above 24X, well not fail, it just hangs and never writes the leadout.

To test my theory, I removed 6.6.0.5 and reinstalled 6.6.0.3 and it worked perfectly at speeds up to 48x.

I went to my other machine, installed Nero 6.6.0.5 with a different writer, same exact thing, would not write lead out on any data (ISO) CD above 24x. I removed and installed 6.6.0.3 on the 2nd machine and presto... works just fine!

Thanks, I'll scratch updating for yet another version - they fix one thing and break another, yet I find it hard to believe that 6.6 is that much ahead of 6.3 to be getting the kind of bugs you'd expect to see in a raw beta.

What's it been so far?
6.6.0.1 called some legimate serial owners pirates
6.6.0.3 had a problem copying DVD
6.6.0.5 has this problem, and an issue with window maximize

I can only assume they took it to full release too soon, due to the widespread leak of the 6.6.0.0 coverdisk/demo version

Yes, thanks to this forum and a few others, we found a number of bugs that 'slipped' through our QA process.

You can expect an early realease of Nero Vision Express as well, as we have issues with "Burn-At-Once' feature when enabled. It will cause 100% failures when selected in NVE30118.

Sorry for the trouble.

Regards

Craig

Sorry, I doubt that we would. Our sales team would argue that a Re-Writable should have been used, yada yada yada.

Craig

If you're referring to my issue in a previous thread with Recode, then yes, it is fixed!

Craig,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop...
