Encouraged by the successful launch of their 5GB Zen Micro competing against Apple iPod Mini, Creative has announced 3 new capacities to choose from, with a 1GB flash based model for $199 slated for release in 1Q, a 4GB model for $229 that is said to hold twice as many songs as the iPod Mini (their marketing team must like low bit-rates), and a 6GB model for $299. Both the 4GB and 6GB versions will be available later this month.

Also of important note, the classic 5GB Zen Micro has received yet another firmware update, which now provides PlayForSure subscriptions compatibility from online stores such as Napster.
