Well, WS2K3 has some features I'd like to put into use. Not major upgrade, I know... but a bit of freash air for system.
Unfortunately, 64bit systems are simply not ready, yet. Currently only such usable would be unfinished WS2K3-64bit, but drivers are too immature and there's not yet such killer applications available that I would consider this option...

Longhorn? Well... when compared to EyeCandyXP, at least new visible features are not only for wasting resources, like POS EyeCandyXP variants are!

Are your roots in DOS v3.1???
LOL... I promise that i don't call you n00b for that, ok?

BTW, guess which is (most likely) the reason for the recent crashes I've been having?
(Hint: /me having AMD64 and my PSU is able to push only 17A from +12V rail... )
Yes, apparently I need a new PSU before I can upgrade anything else!

Hahahahaha...

Sure...my roots are in DOS 3.1...and Yours? In 2K? If so...then I understand why You dont want to upgrade to XP or some similar OS...because...You havent even tried something else than Your one-and-only 2K superstar OS...

Also I think that Longhorn wont be such major step from XP...believe me...they might talk just about anything...but the truth will be somewhere between...just like some step from 98 to XP...I mean...its much better...but not THAT much... The point is...that we all think WOWWW...this one is really better from last one...and all that because...because we also simply havent seen a really GREAT OS...and I guess we wont see it soon...

I agree with lack of drivers for 64 win OSs right now...lets just give them some time...they will have them ready in a year or two...

And for Your PSU problems...like I said...upgrading is just a neverending story...you upgrade one thing...and at the same moment...something else turns out to be missing... So, my personal opinion is (not for You personally - I am speaking generally)...buy completely new computer...then use it for as long as possible (2-3 or at max up to 5 years)...and then...give it to some charity organization...and buy completely new system again... Otherways..You will be throwing lots of money away every 2-3 months for smaller upgrades...loose lots of nerves...and finally...after 2-3 years...You will finish with some 5000$ worth machine (at least You would put that ammount into it in that time)...and the result...Ferrari look-alike with Lada machine computer...

ENJOY!
