I updated my Nec 2510a to the Dangerous Bros 2.F8 firmware. Since doing that, I have been having all sorts of errors with the Ridata RICOHJPN-R01-02 white inkjet printable media getting errors when I do a verify with either Nero or DVD Decryptor. Now, on another machine, I have the NEC 3500 with the latest firmware, and I have NO problems with the same media.
So the question is, can I get my 2510 to a state where I can put the latest official NEC firmware back? The firmware updater now says it can't find the drive to update it.

Thanks for helping me, I searched and could not find an answer in the forum, but I can't say I feel all that able when it comes to searching the forum.

You can put the official firmware by using the un-official updater (http://binflash.cdfreaks.com)

The utility looks good, but I don't know how to get the .bin part from Nec's EXE file.
Any suggestions?

You can just select the .exe in binflash and not the .bin... or you can use NecDump for this.. :)
