It seems the trend for superhero games isn't going to wane any time soon as Vivendi Universal has just announced the sequel to Hulk, the rather mediocre tie-in game of the blockbuster film of the same name. The Incredible Hulk is being developed by Radical Games, which created the original title. It's being penned by award-winning comic-book writer Paul Jenkins and will feature artwork by comic-book artist Bryan Hitch.
"Our collaboration with Marvel on The Incredible Hulk will give gamers the opportunity to play as one of the most powerful and exciting characters to ever exist," said Michael Pole, executive vice president of Worldwide Studios, VU Games. "The Incredible Hulk will deliver unlimited power and freedom immersed in an authentic world that will engage Hulk fans and core gamers."
Like the first game, The Incredible Hulk will feature fully destructible environments, which Hulk can use to his advantage by throwing debris at his opponents.
The Incredible Hulk is currently scheduled for a summer 2005 release and will be available on all major platforms.
