I have 2 NEC 3500A in my pc along with a sony 540a

I have Liggy's And Dee's ND-3500 Release Firmware LD_V1 running on both nec drives. they are the same except one is internal the other is extrnal USB 2.0.

After I installed Liggy's And Dee's ND-3500 Release Firmware LD_V1 the rip lock seemed to be removed because using nero dvd speed and dvdinfopro both drives (internal and external) went from around 5x read to a max of 16X with an avergae of about 10.5 - 11.0 on both speed tests which was great.

But as of this morning the external drive which used to start its read at about 6.3 and move up to 16x near the end now starts at about 5.6X and stays at 5.6X for the duration of the read.

No new hardware installed, no new software installed, no drivers changed or updated, just a large reduction in read speed.

any ideas? any help would be greatly appreciated.

My external case is a Plumax PM-525U2-PPB

The performance is for the same media both times?

yes, now no matter what i put in there it is stuck at 5.7X

Yuden 02 discs that write at 16x
Riteks that write at 12x
memorex 4x
sony 8x
pressed dvd movies
pressed dvd data cds

doesnt matter what i put in it it has gone from 16X max to 5.7X constant
