Chinese Gamer is the first Taiwan based game development company to join the growing ranks of the world’s top game makers who have joined forces with NVIDIA to deliver a compelling out-of-the-box gaming experience NVIDIA Corporation, a worldwide leader in graphics and media processors, and Chinese Gamer International Corp., a leading developer and service provider of online games, announced today that they have reached an agreement to collaborate on the development and marketing of games created by Chinese Gamer. The first title to bear the fruit of the cooperation is Jing Yong Online 2.0 which, like its predecessor, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on the famous martial art novels of the author Jing Yong. This new game is set in an immersive 3D environment enabled by NVIDIA graphics processing units (GPUs). The companies will also engage in co-marketing activities as part of the NVIDIA “The Way It’s Meant to Be Played” (TWIMTBP) program beginning with Jing Yong Online 2.0’s initial release in Taiwan this December. With the formation of this strategic alliance, Chinese Gamer becomes the first Taiwan based game development company to join the growing ranks of the world’s top game makers that have joined forces with NVIDIA to deliver a compelling out-of-the-box gaming experience. As is the case with the games that are part of the NVIDIA TWIMTBP program, titles developed by Chinese Gamer will be extensively tested by both companies to produce a stable and compatible gaming experience for users with PCs equipped with NVIDIA® GPUs. Additionally, Chinese Gamer has adopted NVIDIA GPUs as the reference graphics hardware platform for game development and is also working with NVIDIA engineers to optimize and visually enhance its games on GeForce™ FX and GeForce 6 graphics processors. “We expect that our partnership with NVIDIA will ensure that our games will remain at the cutting edge of 3D technology,” said Kuei-Ping Chen, CEO of Chinese Gamer. In Jing Yong Online 2.0’s case, the stunning realism and eye candy found in the game should only add to the broad appeal that its predecessor already enjoyed. Jing Yong Online 2.0 is the sequel of Jing Yong Online, one of the most popular online games in Chinese society worldwide, including Taiwan and China, with 5 million active subscribers and 200,000 concurrent users. Players of Jing Yong Online 2.0 are expected to enjoy the game’s visual effects when powered by the NVIDIA GeForce family of GPUs. “Combining Chinese Gamer’s talent in game creation with the world class NVIDIA developer support team’s experience in 3D graphics should result in addictive games that also have strong visual appeal,” said Keita Iida, general manager of Asia-Pacific developer relations at NVIDIA. “We are excited to be partnering with an online game development leader in a region that is experiencing explosive growth in this genre of online games.” Source : NVIDIA
