Hey all, I recently got a DVD-R/RW Burner and was looking for a good software package. I tried the Primo DVD but it was unsuccessful. So I stumbled onto a little website talking about the new DVD Detective Software. It is well worth the $29.95 US price tag. I have copied 4/5 games successfully using the DVD Decryptor. First thing it does is search for protection on the disk. Then it burns it to the HD. Then you burn it to a DVD-R. That frickin simple!!

So far I copied Wreckless: Yakuza Missions, Dead-To-Rights, James Bond 007 : Nightfire & Ghost Recon. The only PS2 game that would not copy was "The Getaway"! It has the new FADE protection on it. Does anyone know anything about this new FADE protection?
It is a bi#$h to get around!

Bye for now!! & Happy Copying to all!

Sorry it has been awhile since I have on the board.
I had an exam first week of March.

I now have been 12/12 on burning PS2 games.
The Getaway did actually copy disregard prior email.

Do you have to do anything special to copy either PS2 or dvd movies (setup options)?

Here is the entire and very easy process guinea13.
First of all place DVD-ROM PS2 game/ DVD movie into your DVD rom drive. Then goto C: and make a DIR called VIDEOTS:
After this goto MODE & Read and save the ISO file to your VIDEOTS dir.

Then just click on the activation button at bottom of screen.
This will Copy the game/DVD onto your HD in the VIDEOTS dir as a ISO FILE.

After done reading go to MODE WRITE & Place a blank DVD-R into your DVD Burner drive and load in the ISO FILE you just burned it is that easy man.

I am a perfect 25/25 so far.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, DVD Decrypter rocks for copying ps2 games.. I normaly burn the iso to the harddrive then burn the iso to dvd-r via nero 6, most games not a problem, The getaway hower sucks.. the size of the iso is 4.14 gb.. only .7 gig short on a 4.7 gb dvd-r, now that is a bitch. but i am pretty sure the .7 not a problem maybe the copy protection is, who knows. Well at least I dont have to worry about compleaing the game, getting on the last mission, fighting last boss lol, and thinking dame, i wish i had that .7 gb now :)
anyway if anyone copyed the getaway successfully please share your knowlege, I just hate it when the dog decides to have lunch with my orginal disks :)

You can make a backup of GTA Vice City successfully with DVD Decrypter. This could perhaps just be a setting that you have not ticked, or could just be the reader that you ripped it with. I have just now tested it, and had no problem making a backup of it.
