Anyone tried Bugbear's FlatOut yet?
There's a demo out, but as my gear is not up to date, I'll pass that.
There are some interesting features in game, but I think it's too slow paced for my taste...

Thanks for the info, Cooler

I just read their webpage...and must say that it looks promising, although I prefer some NFS-style racing simulations......(cant wait those few days till the official release of Underground 2!!! )...sooooooooo...will see bit later...maybe I even try it out...afterall...they said that there are 3000+ various objects to smash in the game...so why not!??

Talk to You later guys...take care and ENJOYYYYYYYY...

I visited a friend at weekend and tried a bit of the game. As most of the new games, it IMO needs too much computer power - At least it felt somewhat sluggish to drive on. But then again, it might be the "realistic" approach, which was to blame when the same company released their previous racing game... or maybe the beer was not correct brand? Allthought seeing drivers flying was hilarious, I still prefer older (3 and 4) Colin McRae's...

Which game did You play Cooler? Flatout or Underground 2?

Anyway...I got my Underground 2 this weekend...and it sure ROCKSSSSSSSSSSS...

And they also improved max resolutions (from 1280*960 to 1600*1280!)...not to mention Anti aliansing and other stuff...GREAT GAME!

ENJOY!

Uhh... previous reply attempt bombed AGAIN, because of too short timeout!

I actually had a chance to try both of them, but I commented only FlatOut, because I had only half hour for NFS:U2.
Latter was smoother and indeed quite nice, but as i said, I prefer CMR series. No, including Finnish tracks has (nearly) nothing to do with that.

No more comments......btw...CMR is one of my favourites too...and also the latest Richard Burns Rally sure is great one (although my version was kinda buggy - I've had problems with playing Rally School Tests...but all in one...great game!)

Enjoy!

Dang... timeout stroke AGAIN?! And it was just about 10 seconds after entering this thead!

Anyways, I'm considering about getting new wheel&pedals set if I ever get more important upgrades done.
previous one from MS lasted long time, but it's toast now...

I have a nice set of wheel&pedals for You Cooler...its Enzo Ferrari Force Feedback...and it sure RULLZZZ...(although I played only some 5 times...and most of the time it serves just as dust collector )...Maybe I will try it with Underground 2...but there is problem again...I finished it already...and now its not that much interesting to play anymore...

I hope that someone like EA will show some mercy and release some newer,better,faster,sexier,...Driving game.

A new driving game would be nice... allthough Command&Conquer series are screaming a new game... or at least sequel!
