Hey Everyone! Since this is my first post, Just wanted to give a big HeLLo to all fellow forum members.
Long time reader, first time poster....

Anyways, this is my issue with Nero Cd-Dvdspeed:

I just upgraded to Nero 6.6.0.1 because I just got a new [first] dvd burner : pioneer dvr-108bk ver.1.14 (when I went to buy it, they actually had to take it out of the shipping box, so basically, most updated firmware, though I probably won't even use a hacked one) and the old ver. of Nero only worked with the Lite-on cdrw it was bundled with.

When I try to do a : Extra> Disc Quality Test w/ a burned Dvd-r or Dvd+r , the start button is greyed out (maybe this isn't an option? but Ive seen screenshots?). The program reconizes the dvdr's and they play fine. I can do scandisk/surface scan but I can't seem to get it to run the quality test.

The quality test works fine with cd-r.... hmm.. the Nero ASPI is installed, ver. 2.01.68 wnaspi32.dll

Im pretty new with dvd burning so, any missing info? req.
ok with cd-r burning..
I know there is another program that can do tests but not too familiar with it, dvdinfopro, i think>?

So any help is welcomed. TIA.

The Pioneer 108 does not support the disc quality test function

Are there any programs out there that will do a quality scan with the NEC 3500?

The NEC3500 does not support that function

It is a hardware issue not software.
