Hiya guys, i'm new here, been watching over the forum for quite a while.

Today i bought a maxtor 120GB ATA133 7200rpm hdd, put it in my pc (silver ltd edition (i believe v9?) messiah 2 chip, i loaded HDD Loader, it found the hard drive, installed 2 games i bought yesterday, Tony Hawks Undergroud 2, and Fifa Soccer 2005, both installed fine, but when i hit to play te game on HDD loader, then screen goes blank, and the power light on my PS2 joypad goes out. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this issue?

I bought Fifa, and rented Tony Hawks, both full legal copies from a shop.

It would be possible the images to be faulty, that's why I asked.

Sorry I am not an expert on consoles but I am pretty sure that someone else will help you.

You can also search in this area in case that you'll find something.

Ah yeah, i am in the area now, infact, thats where mymsg is! lol :)

But i'll take a look, an dhopefully someone with more of an idea can come up with soe sort fo solution. but thanks very much for trying dude :)

tony hawk underground 2 uses mode 3
as for fifa 2005, it should work fine since i havnt heard anyone saying anything about the game not working, im not really sure tho. just try differnt mode combos.

Besides the different modes, the black screen happened to me once when i left the game i just installed in the PS2.

Highlight the game, and press select, enable a mode, press select and then play.

ok i loaded the hd loader on to my memcard useing the max drive, i stuck in one of the disks that was in the title.db list to try and run the HD Loader, but all it does is run the game like normal, am i missing some thing or doing some thing wrong?

I have just got fifa 2005. When I attempt to install it (direct in ps2) it stops at 69% saying 'there was a problem reading the image, do you wish to continue installing. If you do the game may not be playable'. I tried no first and obviously it stopped. I retried clicking yes but it has 58620hrs to go and is still at 69%.

I have read that this game must be used in mode 3, but how am I meant to install it? There are no visible scratches on the disc.
