Jabra's
SP100 Bluetooth Speakerphone was announced back in March, but was, as often happens, delayed. Now the company says that the SP100 will be available in October through normal retail outlets for $149 USD.
The Jabra SP100 connects to a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone or communicator the same way as a Bluetooth headset, but instead of hooking over the ear it sits flat on a table or car seat and offers speakerphone functionality, complete with voice-activated dialing and answer/end commands so that users can keep their hands on the steering wheel. It includes a two-watt 96 dB speaker for audio output and a pivoting microphone arm, and runs on two AA batteries. Two rechargeable batteries are included, and the SP100 can also run off of a car power jack.
