Welcome to join here.

Does your signature refer to your hardware?

Well, have you closed all other applications and only leave Nero running?
Sometimes other application might affect the burning process.

I've recieved my NEC3500A yesterday. Thanks for all the advice on the burner btw.
Flashed it with TDK firmware named to NEC 2.08 ves.
Burned my first DVD and also experience CD BUrner buffer Dance as well as Read Buffer Dance. Read buffer would Jump to 100% then while jumping back and forth coming down back to 0%... as it reaches 0% it jumps back to 100% and it keeps on repeating...
CD Buffer was less predictable and jumped all over. I thought the burn would fail but it didn't.

I have an older system, P4 700mhz 256 RAM, maybe that is one of the reasons. Also, CD is on regular IDE33 cable.

Is that normal? Does it hurt the quality? Also, it took 26 minutes or so to burn RitegG04 Newegg.com DVD @ 4x.
Thanks

Sometimes try to defragment the hdd might helps in some cases.
IDE cable, IDE channel might also be a problem.
Try to replace the cable or change the IDE channel (bus 0, 1; channel 0, 1, 2, 3)
