I had MPEG files that I burned to CD as a VCD using Nero 5.5.9.17. The burn did not complete, and when I played the CD, only one file played though under My Computer, it shows 17 files. I tried to close the session from my incomplete burn. When I put the CD in and did Recorder->Medium Info, the drive just kept reading and reading the CD and would not stop. any ideas on what might be wrong?

I am using a P3 with 256 MB RAM

You won't be able to write any more to that CD-R, and it's pretty much a coaster unless you want to keep it for the one file that still plays right. When the burn process gets interrupted you usually can salvage SOME dats from the beginning of the CD, but only because the TOC is at the beginning. As soon as things deviate from that intial TOC, you can't access the data anymore...well, at least not conventionally

I hope you didn't delete the originals!

Craig told was the one who told me to close the session so that I can use the space that I still have on the disc...so I guess Craig was wrong?

If the burn process was interupted then I don't think you'll be able to burn anymore on the disc. if you just didn't fill the CD, then it should work.

OH! thanks wnc!

well, Craig (CCampbell) knows more then me in this matter. Unfortunatly he's vacationing right now I believe . If you still have the original files from the burn, I suggest just trying to re-burn the CD, using different media then the first time.
