The first Release Candidate of Mandrakelinux 10.1 is now available for download. It may be the last shot before the final 10.1 release so it's really time to report as many bugs as possible!

Release Candidate 1

Three 700 MB ISO files (via bittorrent or list of FTP mirrors below and one new special 300 MB (also via bittorrent or see below) mini-ISO file.
More than 1800 packages.
Support for 75 languages with a new Arabic installation (see support level at

Mandrakelinux tools:

New media selection during installation (to add new sources at installation time). (NEW)
New tool for wireless network (drakroam).
New tool for bittorrent download (drakbt).
New network applet to see Internet connection status and to switch it on or off. (NEW)
New Mandrakelinux Control Center look and feel. (NEW)

Hardware support:

Improved laptop detection and configuration of ACPI, CPU frequency control and Synaptic's touchpads. (NEW)
Better support of bluetooth devices (with gnome-bluetooth and kdebluetooth).
Improved network configuration tool (drakconnect) with fixed support for Sagem and ISDN modems. (NEW)
Better USB (should fix some badly configured keyboard and mice issues)
Wacom tablets fixed (NEW)
Switch to udev

These test are most desired:

Upgrade from a previous Mandrakelinux release.
Adding new media during installation.
Network configuration with a Sagem ADSL modem (DHCP or static) with eagle-usb.
