Personally, I do think Lite-On DVD-ROM is also a good choice.
From Toshiba's review, you may also see some testing data comparing to Asus E616, and then you may not feel so good for Asus E616's score. But it's good on DVD ripping.
As for LiteOn's review, it's kind of pity that the review did not compare to other drive but all LiteOn's.
If again to compare the DVD ripping's score, Asus E616 is still the toppest.
You may try to compare by your self.
For me my self is using Asus E616P1, and are feeling good with it.
