HP has released the Compaq Presario v2000, a 14" widescreen notebook that will compete with the Dell Inspiron 700m and Sony VAIO S series notebooks. This notebook can be configured with a Pentium M or Celeron processor, up to 1.0GB RAM, up to 80GB hard drive, optional Wi-Fi and optional built-in CD/DVD burner. The v2000 is available from
HPShopping.com now.
The Compaq Presario v2000 is targeted at those users that need to be mobile with their laptop, mostly business users that travel and work between and office and home, but students that commute between campus and home might also be interested in this notebook. The 14.0" widescreen will be good for keeping total notebook size and weight down, but giving ample viewing for such things as spreadsheets or DVD movies that benefit from a wider view.
