McAfee has released the long awaited VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i. VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i was posted to the McAfee update site for customers to download using their grant numbers late on August 25, 2004. With this release, McAfee has taken further steps toward a more complete desktop security offering by integrating new features such as Buffer Overflow Protection, Enhanced Unwanted Program detection as well as complete Outbreak Response capabilities. Additional features such as Port Blocking, Application Monitoring, Share blocking and infection source IP identification will assist in lowering response times to new threats.
