The oft-delayed Sims 2 has 'gone gold' according to reports from EA, which positions a European launch on September 17th, after the crucial title was held back for quality control. Mark Mothersbaugh has also been revealed as the musician behind the title's audio, and whilst we haven't heard of him, he has apparently won a BMI music award in the past for Outstanding Career Achievement. "I'm very excited to have had the opportunity to work on one the most anticipated PC games of the year. The Sims 2 team is a very talented group of people and working with them on creating music to fit their innovative game was a true highlight for me," the composer enthused. "Computer games are just another vehicle to express my creativity and allow my fans to enjoy my music." September 17th it is, then. Source : Ferrago
