Windows XP Service Pack 2 express installer has officially been released. This will spell relief for quite a few users for who the 266MB network install is just too taxing on their network connection.
Users should expect to download on average 70-90 Megabytes from the Service Pack 2 Express Install. This should ease the burden on dialup users.
It is worth noting that both the Network and Express installers are nearly identical in content, the only difference being that the network installer contains all fixes, even those that do not apply to your existing hardware and setup.
Further, only the network installer can be used to slipstream into Windows XP. Those opting for the Express Installer will not have this option.
