I think i fired my HD for my ps2 but wen i put it in my puter an use winhiip it sees it an i can put stuff on it...wen i use HD loader it says there is no HD detected. can anyone help? thx

First of all, make sure that the image u ripped and/or the PS2 DVD is nice and clean. That was the problem that I had when i first used WINHIIP.
Also it might be a bug in WINHIIP, try using the new one (1.5 final).
Finally if that doesn't work try using another program like HDL_DUMP. (new version 0.6)


Yes, minos u do have to have ur HD formatted (with hd_loader or WINHIIP).

I already have my HDD formated i had games on it already using the HD loader to put them in when u swap disc..i took it out an i went to put it in my puter but i think i fried it because hd loader doesnt detect it anymore in my ps2..but i put it in my PC an winhiip sees it an see the games that r on there i can put stuff on but its not being read by the HD loader.

what version of WINHIIP r u using. I think a guy on another forum had the same problem.

I cannot help much with format problems since I formatted the disk with HD Loader

i came up with a simple solution..bought a new 80GB maxtor...i found out i did frie the other one

that stinks, try getting the warranty back!!! It might of been the manufature's problem not urs. As u guys already know, HDs have a tendency to last at most a couple of months or a lifetime.
