Feurio is made for burning audio and gives you almost complete control of what you get. Removing the two second gap is no problem at all. It also doesn't conflict with any other software although it does require ASPI to be installed. It's shareware that is not crippled or time-limited. Try it, you'll like it.

I know about removing the two second gap, but Nero can do that for me just as well. Maybe after I get my second partition running, ill give it a try.

Hi Luna,

Nero does force you to put a 2 second gap before the very first audio file for any audio CD you create, as per the Red Book standard. But you can control the pregap between all other audio files you write to the CD.

If you are using files from an Audio CD as the source, try the option in Nero to "Remove silence at end of *.CDA tracks". Otherwise, as another has suggested, the problem could be with the audio files you are using as a source, and you can try and clean these up with the Nero WAV Editor.

Also, as to the single WAV file with multiple names. Not sure what you are after here exactly, but you can use Nero to put index points in a large audio file so you can jump to different locations in the audio Song from your Car or Home Stereo, or you can use the Split option to split the audio file as many times as you like, and then give each a seperate name. (This does not modify the original audio file in any way.)

To do this, just launch Nero, select audio format and New. Then drag over your audio file to the Audio1 compilation window and then right-click on it and go to Properties. There you can select the Index/Limits/Splits tab.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Craig

If you know of any way to burn a single .wav file with multiple tracks/file names, please let me know. The file names are not important, but finding a way to split up the tracks on the CD is.

Thanks.

I was pulled in too many directions there for a while, and still am to a degree, but I will try and stick around on a more regular bassis again. [|)]

But I did monitor it and you didn't need me. This is a good group of people, and you are all Teachers. Many people are learning how to use computers along with Recorders because of support from Forums such as this. It would be impossible to deal with all this technology without it. Books are great, but nothing beats experience. One who has had and problem and solved it is all trainging needed to be qualified.

Craig

Just a little late on the reply, but I have not attempted to do this untill now.

In Cool Edit Pro 2, I joined all the files, and then deleted the small section of silence between each track.

Then after all 11 songs were in one file, i saved it as a wav, and now I am trying to split them in Nero. Problem is I have no idea how to get split to work [B)], or maybe I do, just have not tried it yet.

Craig, you said that after I split them, i could rename the split section also. But I cant figure out how to find specific locations within Nero. I would like the first track to end at 6:36, but I am am only given intervals of 1 min, so I have to guess where it is :(

If anyone can help that would be great :) I dont know what I am doing

Fyi, Nero also does not let me select less than 2 seconds with my Plextor.

Feurio is an advanced program with tons of available settings. It might be a bit much and/or confusing to some, but I love it. And it does properly let me set my gaps. It's very good w/ CD-Text also.

I pretty much exclusively use Feurio (w/ Lame .dll) for all my music ripping & burning.
