Difficult to answer, if you use DVD-ROM Booktype there is 70-80% that should work...

I have a sony DVD player that supports DVD-r/rw and DVD+r/rw. I didn't know the model. Thank you for the responds. Can I Play DL Disc on it?

booktype management programs ensure media backward compatibility with older DVD players. This program allow you to freely choose a DVD+RW, DVD+R or DVD+R DL disc to be written as DVD-ROM, the most recognizable disc format for DVD players. So, when you burn a +R/+RW media, you get a DVD-ROM media... of course this process needs to be done prior of burning...

Take the compression, with a quality notice that you *PROBABLY* won't see, and stick with a Single Layer Burner. That is, unless your last name is Gates, or Buffet.
