a bit off the topic, but has anyone seen some cdrw's rated at 24X yet, (especially at a reasonable price). I have seen them on both the Yamaha site and the Verbatim site listed (by those manufacturers respectively), but neither seem to be available yet or are "preorder" status (when you actually go the the purchase area. They were a bit pricey as well, but I guess that is because they are direct from the manufacturer (not to mention new), and would expect them to be better priced from other internet distributers.

Any thoughts?

By the way, on my post question above, I have a plextor 48/24/48 A, if that effects the recommendation for 24X cdrw media.

Although I hate CMC and will never knowingly but them, I've never had a SINGLE problem with their CDR/W's.

I have several 1-4X "smart and friendly" discs that are over 6 years old and still rewriting fine. Also I have some CMC TDK "mini 8cm" discs that keep on ticking.

When it comes to CDR's, 3 out of 4 CD's are frisbees.

For CDRW's I really like Infodisc Corp (many Memorex CDR/W's), CMC, Mitsu chem, and Prodisc. I've used Princo's a couple times with undesirable results, and have no experience using other brands of CDRW's.

Ritek has 24x CD-RWs, and certain retail locations will be carrying them soon I'm sure (within a month for me) Just keep an open eye and ear and I'm sure you'll find some!

amazon.com has Verbatim 24x in stock. Just ordered some.
