It is really incredible getting your card to its limits when overclocking it. I have a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 with default clock speeds at 250/250 (core/memory) and I managed to tweak it up to 350 and 400 with a thermaltake case.

I believe that many users have achieved high overclocking values with their cards cards. So here anyone who is proud of his overclocking or face difficulties tweaking his card can express his thoughts from here.

I believe that the latest ATI and nVidia series are not so easy to overclock, already are pushed from factory...

There is always space to tweak a vga card, even if it already tweaked by the manufacturer. For example if you install a bigger fan or memory heatsinks you can achieve higher clock speeds.

Or if you have a very good case such as thermaltake V1000 with 4 fans, this multiplies the probabilities to achieve better overclocking speeds.

It's all about the cooling

Yes, liquid cooling also helps a lot

For hardcore gamers and overclockers (such as me ), the 130 euro a thermaltake case costs is nothing thinking the overclocking capabilities it will offer us.

On the other hand is it better to buy a 450 euro VGA card or just buy a better case and overclock your previous card?

I don't need a car, but I need a GeForce 6800 or an ATI X800
