ok, here's a question for you guys! Why arn't there any dual layered DVD-Rs? ... or better yet, why are there no Dual layer burners...even in production! it really sucks not being able to backup a full DVD onto 1 disc (the dual layered ones at least!). Is this some type of copy protection???

Heh..Dual layer DVD-R. Some companies cannot make single layer DVD-R drives work correctly, they will produce dual layer DVD-R drives? With the currently technology its very hard (not to say impossible). I have a strong feeling we will never see dual layer DVD-R drives. Probably we will jump directly to Blu-Ray (27GB) format

DVD Forum didn�t choose Blu-Ray. They choose next standard NEC and Toshiba Corp. blue laser technology. DVDs can storage 20 Gbytes.
