If as you say they play fine in Random mode, meaning all files on the Audio CD will paly without the 'slight jump', then we must assume the audio file burned to the CD without problems, and the issue would be associated with a poor or weak burn/poor media, or players having trouble with this media.

Use the Nero Drive Speed utility to slow down the read speeds for your drives, and see if this resolves the issue.
