My 8/4/32 plextor drive can't recognize highspeed cdrw 4-10X. Is it possible with flashing some update to change that?

Yes that may help, it also may be possible that because the drive is an early model (before the HS-RW's were thought of) it might be incompatible with that media.

I suggest you contact Plextor, as they'd be well aware, wether or not, that Plex can read CD-RW Highspeed media .

    Also, try different brands of HS-RW media

    OK, now I wonder if somebody try something like this, to upgrade drive with patch that it is not for specific drive?
