I got Asus P4S533 motherboard. After I installed Windows XP I installed PCI IDE driver wich came with motherboard CD. I think this one for ATA133 support, and yes, I have Maxtor 80GB ATA133. After I did install the driver, Nero CD Speed utility can't test writing speed. Otherwise, it works fine. Also, I can't upgrade firmware for my Liteon. To upgrade I use my Liteon with different computer, where is no PCI IDE driver installed. So, maybe I should just to uninstall that driver? Anyway, after computer starts, i can see in the POST, that IDE 0 has UDMA 6, which is ATA133 (before XP loaded).
Thanks

Hi oldgamer
You have the SiS 645DX chipset on your motherboard and there is a driver for the IDE on there Website and it is listed as
ide_sis10.zip (3975013 bytes, 2002/5/20)
So if this a newer version than the one you have on your CD I suggest you download it and install it also check if you are using the the latest Bios and drivers they can all be got at :-
http://download.asus.com.tw/mb_dl_menu.asp?l1=1&l2=15&l3=6&mid=1
But make sure you read the instructions fully before using any of them !!!
I hope this Helps !!!
