I need help on choosing a dvd burner i thinking about buying a Cendyne DVD-R/RW i was wondering if this would work with backing up my PS2 games?

Yes it will work just fine, you would have to use modchips however

what is better a pioneer a04 or the Cendyne dvd-r/rw? or are they about the same just name brands cost more like the pioneer.

CenDyne's DVR-104 DVD-RW drive is the latest version of the DVR-103, the Pioneer drive that started the home-movie-burning revolution. Debuting at half the original's price, the CenDyne writes and rewrites to capacious 4.7GB DVD-R/RW media as well as CD-Rs and CD-RWs. It also offers faster read speeds and better media handling. Unfortunately, however, it's beginning to look a bit slow compared to its DVD+RW competition.

i read and heard that the dvd-r/rw was a better burner is that right?
