Hi, everyone¡

I really have a problem with my Win2000 and every cd-recording software. When I try to record or erase a cd with my LG- CED-8042B 4x4x24 the system hangs up¡¡¡

The problem seems to be when de software tries to write in the cd, I belive.

There is no error, only the system hangs up¡

My Pc is Pentium II 350Mhz

I have tried Nero 5.5.X, feurio, Prassi Primo, and all hangs up my system. Only EZ Creator 5.01 Platinum works fine.

I have tried installing SP2 but the system hangs up too. When I had W98SE all those programs work fine.


I have installed Aspi and this is what I obtain with chekaspi:

I have disabled DMA for this two host adapters, but the problem persist.

I don't know what to do¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

what chipset does your MB have? I had a Intel815EP chipset with the lates Intel Ultra ATA100 drivers installed and had similar problems. I went back to the previous release and everything was OK. I current use a AMD 1.4Ghz on a VIA chipset with VIA4IN1432V drivers installed and everything works fine.
Note: It is recommended by Microsoft and chipset vendors that when you install a OS you should remove all cards (PCI or soundcard etc...)until you have installed the chipset drivers. Once the OS and the chipset drivers are installed then you can install the rest of your cards. Most people do not bother with this but speaking from experience since I have been doing it this way I have not had one single problem.
