I have had a 12102B for some time now and it worked perfectly, no coasters and it copied everything that I threw at it using Nero CDRWin CloneCD. All in All I was delighted.

Then I tried Windows XP. When I finally sorted out ASPI layers etc I found that the 12102B worked fine for a day or so then would not recognise any CDs that were inserted. I had the drive on its own on IDE1, and the only way that I could get XP to see it again was to swap connectors on IDE1 and it worked fine. After a while I was fed up of swapping the lead every few days so I reformatted C: and reinstalled ME, it now does the same on ME, ie works fine until the PC is switched off for a while then it doesn't.

Any ideas?
