- Models that never came in market
PLEXTOR CD-R PX-W1610S

Noticed anything interesting? 50x writing among with 20x re-writing? Also as it seems there was a Plextor 16x SCSI drive that never came in surface ,as with TEAC's 32x recorder.

Thankyou John, These speed sounds great, but do you know of any programme that will measure the Quality of a Recording..At these speeds I would like to make sure the Data that was burned was of a resonable Quality.

The 48X of course the 320A is old news now... hehe

So no announcement on the 48X Plex!? I read your article at CeBIT 2002, it said to expect a Plextor 48X in May... Well it's nearly June, come on Plextor!

Lets wait a bit longer. We are not so sure if Plextor will actuallt proceed with a 48x recorder (whats the point anyway, gain few more seconds?)

The point? CAV recording, no 24X CD-DA, and 32X RAW-DAO limitations. The fastest of its class, "certificate" we're all used to expect from Plextor. Oh and of course, correct EFM encoding
I'm shure it could shave at least another half a minute off the burn time.

That would be great, even i don't feel you can expect such dramatic changes in Plextor's policy!

Can you please specify the date of the test?

Are you test only the Cyberdrive or other drives, too?

Hereīs a "test" from germany, but it says nothing about a few important things like writing quality

But it says, that the CW088D is the fast, need only 2.23 Min/s for 630MB

It arrives tomorrow, take 2-3 days for the tests, so by the end of this week would be up (if no major problems occur!)
