I have created a couple of CDs with InCD v. 3.23, but I am having serious problems reading the CDs on a laptop of mine. It is not an issue with the laptop not being multiread capable because it reads CD-RWs that are written to with Nero fine. The machine has Windows 98 SE on it, and I have tried the InCD UDF Reader, but it still doesn't work after the UDF Reader has been installed. Can someone please help me? Thanks.

Well some CDroms are just not compatable to packet writen CDs. Even after you install the InCD driver to allow it to read. It wont work on every drive. You may not be able to read it on that drive. I know this does not help you, but it might answer why.

Visit www.cdrtimes.net too. Another great place....

I had the exact same problem - on a laptop too.

I used the InCD UDF reader drivers - no luck.

Then I installed the UDF reader drivers from Adaptech (free and no "chipset" restrictions!) - everything works beautifully now.

I would need to see a list of drivers loading in your Windows/System directory

But RBlake has a good work around too. Though I do not normally like recommending a third party solution.

You can send me the list of drivers at techsupport4@nero.com and I will see if I can detect any possible causes.

Regards,

Craig

... just go to the Adaptech home page and look for downloads. I can't remember but I guess it's the normal, www.adaptech.com or something.
