Can someone explain what session recording is storing in the file that is written to the pc? And how that works? All the writing software tells you how to make a multi-session cd, but no one seems to tell you what it's doing.

As far as I know it just writes files to the CD and leaves the disc open so you can add files later. If it is saving anything to your hard drive I am sure it is just the directory so that it can load it and continue burning from where you left off. Once you close that CD it is just like any other CD with whatever files you decided to burn to it.

Visit www.cdrtimes.net too. Another great place....
