Itīs not allways easy to understand what Plextor and Adaptec means... I have just installed my new PX-W2410A - but I have problem with the software. I have upgraded the firmware to 1.03, and the Nero WinASPI driver layer for Windows ME. I run windows ME ver 4.90.3000 and Nero ver 220.127.116.11 .
When I run the Plextor Utility v1.13 it warns me about Windows ASPI (wnaspi32.dll): Adaptec ASPI fro WIN32 DLL, V1,0,0,0. And tells me that this should be updated!
I went to the Plextor site who refers to Adaptec for upgrade of the ASPI layer - over to the Adaptec site. In a note on their site they say that if I run Win ME I should not install the wnaspi32.dll.
I would be very greatful for a tip - should I or should I not update the Windows ASPI (wnaspi32.dll)?
The new Nero ver 18.104.22.168 seems a bit slow? Could it have anything to do with the above described problem?
Thanks from Sweden
