Hello,

I just bought a 24x Lite On (32x coming out...DOH!!!). Anywho...I am looking for the best media for it, for both price vs. performance.

I noticed the following at CDR Outlet:

RITEK
24X Certified and 74 Minutes.
Top of CD is blank. Silver mirror finish
Bottom of CD is Light Green

(145-50) 50 Spindle ..................... $18.00
(145-100) 100 Spindle ................... $36.00

MITSUI
24X Certified. 74 Minutes.
Top of CD is blank with a Silver matte finish
Bottom is Light Green

(101-100) 100 Spindle .................... $60.00
(101-50) 50 Spindle ..................... $42.90
(101-25) 25 with Jewel cases ....... $26.33

BIG difference in price.

Does anyone know how good the Ritek is???

What are the best suppliers of 24x CD-R media???

The best quality varies from recorder since you use the Lite On I think that for you the best option will be to use disc's manufactured by Taiyo Yuden cd's(NO TDK ones since I had quite some problems with these.)

The Riteks if they are from there high quality production lines (TDK, MEMOREX) ) will work better with your drive as the Mitsui's.
But then again if these are the not so good Riteks(Which is probally the case) the Mitsui will work better.
However Mitsui isn't as good compatible with the Lite On as with most other burners.

These days you can't say even by manufacturer how good some disc's are
