WOW..... I just recieved the lite-on 24102b and love it. BUT this is so wierd. My 16x Verbatims will write audio at 24x great, and even data. The music plays great in my home cd player, and my wifes single cd player in her car. But get ready, It skips like hell in my cars cd player. The old HP 9100= 8x4x32. did great even with the 16x verbatims. I tried to burn at 8x with the lite-on (like my old drive),it helped a little, but still skips. ANY THOUGHTS.
P.S. Please Dont tell me to sell the car...He He He

Have you checked your car cd player with different media?

Well I put the old HP back in my computer and it did fine. My guess is that my CD player is junk (factory player in my lexus). It needs a deeper burn to read a CD. The HP gives it a retail quailty burn.
