Google Chrome is still a fairly small player in the web browser market, but hopes to take 10 per cent of computer users by 2011, armed with its new and improved Google Chrome 3.0.
A massive 3,505 big fixes have made over the last 12 months, leaving a browser that could leave the competition on the starting grid in terms of speed - 25 per cent faster than the previous version and 1.5 times faster the original Chrome. Which was already a pretty nippy beast.
In terms of specifics you'll actually notice, Chrome 3.0 now offers a re-designed tab section, better customisation, an enhanced 'Omnibox' (search bar and address box in one place), which now has enhanced drop-downs and icons to distinguish sites, along with the option of various themes. You know, just like Firefox.
The cherry on the top? That will be the addition of video HTML5 capability, without the need for a separate plug-in. As you would expect, the browser is absolutely free and it's available to download right now.
