Hi everyone, i just bought 10 of nashua cdr's 700 mb, what should i expect from this media?
I use CDRindetifier and it says it is CMC and phtalocyanine, that's good or bad?
i used to buy Verbatim DATALIFE PLUS there were great (i can't find them at good price) CDRindetifier says it was Mitsubishi Chemicals and cyanine AZO type...
could anyone explaine to me what's that mean?
thanks

I also bought 10 of these (black, very snazzy!) and with my Lite-on 12102B they all worked perfectly and gave me no trouble at all.

Although CMC is known as one of the worst manufactuers of CDRs, the dye phtalocynine(Gold) is a better dye than cyanine{green). Most newer Memorex are made by princo or CMC now.

Nashua cd-r's are not so good. I have seen many bad test results and many bad discs. Discs which had lot's of problems on most players after 1 months and so on.
So better stay with the Verbatim's. They are more expensive but they are also much better.
Eh Memorex sells Princo CMC magnetics and Ritek made cd's.
And the last ones are the ones with the very high scores in most tests. The Ritek ones are really good disc's however I won't buy memorex because there still is a change to get the Princo or CMC magnetic trash.
