I'm trying desperately to make a backup of Madden 2002 and other SafeDisc 2 protected games. I went out and purchased a the Philips CDRW804K to do this, since it says everywhere that it's able to. However, to this date, I haven't been able to get a working copy.

I've tried CloneCD and Blindread/Blindwrite, to no avail.
I would really appreciate any suggestions on how I can make workable copies of these games.

hi mab, i have one of those drives and it makes excellent copies of sd2 games. you should use clony xl to tell you how to set it up for sd2. basically you check fast error skip for reading and write with only always close last session checked. get clony here:

btw, madden 2002 and other new sd2 games also include an atip check, which means you can't run them from a burner, only a cdrom or dvdrom. it that's the case the copies you made may very well work.
