I must admit we are going to need some more input from the users to help our Engineers to resolve this.

I need a few users, who have time and patience, to send me an Email at techsupport4@nero.com, indicating their willingness to do some Debugging for us.

I will send you a few files, that will grab needed data from your system during a write attempt at CD-TEXT. And send this data to me ASAP, so I can forward to our Engineers to look into.

We have been working on this issue, but on all the recorders and systems we have tested, based on the reports from this group and direct reports, we were unable to duplicate the issue.

So all the help we can get to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!! [:-)]

CAn anyone tell me how to set the DMA mode on the drive? I am getting very frustrated trying to find this setting.

All problems were resolved with NERO 5.5.6.4 update as posted at TKD's web site. I also updated TKD's DMM fromn 4.0 to 4.5 and some problems with .PLS palylist were changed. With respect to CD-Text, I suggest you use .M3U playlist file, its more flexiable with title artist information.

THIS MAY BE THE ANSWER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have xp pro nero 5564 and a lite-on 16102b a 1gig duron, ive not been able to burn cd text(to show in my car on my sony cd) with any software since installing xp (clean install, before it was intermitent with 98, i turned OFF smartburn and now i get cd text every time, prob something to do with the drive stoping now and again, as you can only do cd text with DAO (disk at once)with smartburn your not getting disk at once as it can stop and wait for data, unless its a bug in nero (but i had the same prob with easy cd5)but i have tryed three versions of nero 5580/5564/5540 and they all wont burn.
by the way i like 5564 cos it wipes a cdrw and then carries on to burn, the other versions dont,they just spit the blanked disk.
i hope this is the answer andy......:)
