Electronic Arts (EA) today announced that it will demonstrate more than a dozen of upcoming game titles at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The lineup does not only feature the '07 version of EA Sports titles, but also a new first person shooter from Crytek and a sequel to the Command & Conquer series.

Gearing up for what may become one of the more interesting gaming shows in recent years, EA said it will focus its lineup especially on the new generation of consoles (the Microsoft Xbox 360, the Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii), the PC portable gaming systems form Sony and Nintendo as well as mobile phones.

Some technology previews and "never-before-seen technology that delivers authentic athletic performance" about certain titles - such as NBA Live, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, FIFA Soccer and Madden NFL '07 - will only be demonstrated behind closed doors. But the company promises that there will be playable demos of Madden NFL 07, NCAA Football 07 and Nascar 07.

Perhaps most interesting are the new titles Army of Two, Spore and especially Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars as well as Crysis - which is an "all-new" first person shooter from Crytek, the developer of FarCry. Built into a new game engine, the game is set in the year 2019, when between the North Korean and United States governments battle for control of the zone that has been impacted by a "colossal asteroid crashes to Earth." The game scenario ends up in an alien invasion plot "where players are able to customize their armor and weapons in real time to confront an ever-changing enemy and a harsh, dynamic environment." Crysis is scheduled to ship this Winter.

Other new tilts include The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth II for the, Superman Returns, Def Jam Fight For NY: The Takeover, as well as new the mobile titles Orcs & Elves, 2006 FIFA World Cup, Fight Night Round 3, Madden NFL 07, NBA LIVE 07, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 and an "enhanced version" of the popular puzzle game Tetris.
