Please help, I don't know how and where to change the booktype to "DVDROM" on my plextor 750A.(for DVD+R DL)-- for best compatibility for movies.

I read the review but can not find the place where to change it.

With plextools the option is grey underlay....

I'm disappeared after hours of trying and searching...

The budget PX-750A does not allow this... it is a TEAC OEM drive -- not even a real Plextor product.

Calimero,

Have you tried Nero CD Speed?  That's what is pictured.  I would think you should be able to inside Nero Burning ROM as well, click on CHOOSE RECORDER, then OPTIONS, if you can do it, it will be available there.

    I hope this helps!

I would imagine, if it was going to work, your would need a +R/+RW disc in the drive.

According to the review, and Nero Drive Properties (Choose Recorder), there is no possibility to change the booktype with Nero. In the review the change was made from CDSPEED.

That is because those drives are true Plextor drives.  I wish Plextor would name their rebadged drives with something other than PX... BenQ, who sells the same drive calls theirs the DQ60 instead of the DW16xx series...

Sorry calimero, you thought you bought a Plextor drive, but you didn't, if you get my drift.  It only says Plextor on the plastic, but the inside of it is TEAC.  Very misleading to those that don't follow what is going on in the forums at cdrinfo.com, cdfreaks.com, and other forums (cdrinfo is the best though)

Absolutely correct, it is "not" a plextor drive...

Let Minos check the drive he has, because I don't have one to try.  I know that a recent review on the LG GSA-4166B said that it did not support bitsetting, but it "does" so their is sometimes the possibility of an administrative error.
