I have read all the messages about burning PS2 games with Alocohol 120%, and everyone i have read says to choose the datatype as PS2. Only problem is that whenever i insert my PS2 game, and continue with the Image Making Wizard, I never get the datatype drop-down menu. I only get it when i have no disc in my DVD drive. Am i doing something wrong? I currently have V1.4.6 build 711 (i have not updated it it yet). Please help! i just installed my Magic 3.1 chip 2 days ago and no copied games are working for me, they all say "no data" all originals and DVD back-ups work fine.

So the PS2 games you are having problems with are the CD format?

No. i have not tried any CD PS2 games, all the games i have tried have been DVD's. I was just curious why i am not getting the "Playstation 2" option in the datatype menu. Like i said, as soon as i insert the disc, the datatype option disappears, and my only option is "next" to continue to burn the disc. I have tried both the "Copy Wizard" and the "Image Making Wizard"

I have the same problem with PS2 games. The drop down menu apears for me when copying protected PC CD's but not PS2 games (DVD).I am running V1.4.8 build 1222 so it's definatlly not a problem with your older version. Hopefully someone can help!

There is no drop down selection for ps2 dvd games. Just cd based.

What is the game you are trying to backup?
There are some games, like securom protected games, that cannot be backuped by alcohol
I read once that you can use dvd decrypter iso mode to back PS2 DVD games
Can you try that and inform us about the results?
